Evan Nelson grew up on a working farm in Wayne County, West Virginia, and he uses that experience at RCBI where he is the Manager of Agriculture Innovations and Quality Specialist. He works with a variety of farmers, beverage and food vendors, and other entrepreneurs in the agricultural economy to innovate and improve their business practices.
In addition, he has worked with higher education including Marshall University’s Forensic Science Center where he assisted the program in implementing Lean principles; and a high mix, low volume, furniture manufacturer that specializes in customized pieces.
Nelson earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management from Marshall University and is certified as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt through The Ohio State University. He also completed the Better Process Controls school at Virginia Tech University’s Department of Food Science and Technology, and ISO 9001 and Internal Auditor training through RCBI.
