Product and Development Metallurgical Supervisor
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S. Degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or equivalent engineering degree.
- 5 years of steel metallurgy experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- M.S./P.H.D in Metallurgy or equivalent industry experience in flat roll steel product development.
- Experience with Hot and Cold Roll sheet steel specifications.

Nucor Steel West Virginia is seeking applicants for the position of Product and Development Metallurgy Supervisor. The role of the Product and Development Metallurgy Supervisor includes, but is not limited to establishing a culture of safety awareness, team development, quality production, and continuous improvement. Ensuring timely support to our customers and our sales team on all order inquiries. ​​​​​​​Managing order grading functions for the entire division and ​​​​​​​ensuring communication of customer needs to our production and maintenance teammates. ​​​​​​​Using production costs and profitability data to maximize profitability. As part of the leadership team you will be responsible ​​​​​​​for coaching, mentoring, and developing product metallurgists.
Nucor Steel West Virginia is Nucor’s new sheet mill with advanced steelmaking capabilities. This is a greenfield project, which is estimated to be fully operational in 2025. The new steel mill will employ 800 full-time teammates producing up to 3 million tons per year at one of the most technologically advanced sheet mills. This advanced manufacturing facility is to be located along the Ohio River in close proximity to both Huntington and Charleston, WV. This is a full-time position located at our offices in Mason County, WV.
