Job Summary:
Perform repair and fabrication of components for electro-mechanical equipment using manual lathes, shapers, drill presses, grinders as well as electroplating. Must apply knowledge of machining procedures, mechanics, mathematics, metal properties and layout.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ability to operate mechanical equipment to assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts.
- Use of measuring devices, (i.e.:Â ruler, micrometer, venier, etc.).
- Use of blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of tasks.
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
- Works under general supervision.
