Job Summary / Overview:

The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician (E&I Tech) is based out of Liberty One Methanol plant in Institute, WV. This is a great opportunity if you are an experienced Industrial Electrician, Electrical and Controls Technician, Electrical or Instrumentation Engineer, Electric Technician, Instruments Technician, or similar. This position reports to the E&I supervisor.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Duties include installing, inspecting, maintaining, operating, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating various mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and electronic equipment. Along with completing all appropriate documentation, checklists and reports associated with the duties.

  • Maintenance (I&M) checks on all instrumentation and control systems, including equipment calibration checks.

  • Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns.

  • Performs Inspection and on all instrumentation and control systems, including equipment calibration checks.

  • Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory and tariff requirements.

  • Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence.

  • Mentor fellow employees and work in a Team based environment.

  • Maintain electrical switch gear and power distribution equipment.

  • Carry out instrument and electrical maintenance work providing safe and effective service for the repair, scheduled maintenance and correct functioning of all instrumentation and controls systems on the plant.

  • Assists in developing work plans and supervising work performed by external contractors.

  • Maintain all training and certifications required for the job.

  • Present a professional image at all times to clients and vendors and maintain a positive reputation of the company.

  • Follow all relevant company policies and procedures.

  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

  • Ensure proper housekeeping practices are followed and maintain a clean work environment at all times.
