Required Skills
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION
- Climbing, ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized.
- Balancing, maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces.
- Stooping, bending body downward and forward by bending spine and waist.
Example: Changing paper in printer, copier machine.
3. Kneeling, bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
4. Crouching, bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
5. Crawling, moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.
6. Reaching, extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Example: Giving signals, reaching for material or handle on item.
7. Standing, particularly for sustained periods of time.
Example: Making copies, giving presentations, directing traffic.
8. Walking, moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances.
9. Pushing, using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.
10. Pulling, using upper extremities to exert force in order to drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
11. Lifting, raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position.
DEGREE OF LIFTING: 26-50 LBS.
12. Fingering, picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm as in handling.
13. Grasping, applying pressure to an object with fingers and palm.
D. VISUAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION
- Machine operation, inspection, close assembly, clerical and administrative duties.
Example: Preparing and analyzing data and figures, accounting, transcription, data entry, CRT exposure, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, using measurement devices or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
2. Mobile equipment operations; operate cars, trucks, buses, fork lifts, cranes and high lift equipment.
3. Position requires individual to differentiate colors, depth and perception.

Description/Job Summary
The role of an Extrusion Line Stacker is primarily to ensure extruded product conforms to product standard requirements by taking and documenting quality measurements, assist the operator in machine set up and troubleshooting techniques, and stack product according to scheduling and standard protocol.
Responsibilities/Duties
A. JOB TASKS & DUTIES
- Ensure that the workplace is safe, professional, and clean by upholding company “THM” practices [i.e. 5S, OCS, Safety, Recycle] established plant wide and for the extrusion department.
- Examples include, but are not limited to, emptying the trash, sweeping floors and mezzanine areas, etc.
- Assures validation and compliance of product requirements by performing and documenting quality checks on production materials at set intervals.
- Assist the operator in the upkeep of the extrusion line and set ups for production runs.
- Examples include, but are not limited to, setting the guillotine knives, feeding product throughout the line on start up, visually monitor and observe the line for any arising machining or safety issues on a set schedule, etc.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by filling out employee improvement forms in pursuit of improving work, machine efficiencies, and cost savings.
- Assist in Trial Production which can include actions in machine set up, raw materials, or other trial activities.
- Participate in product development efforts as opportunity presents.
- Support the PM program by completing specific job assigned tasks. (Example: Cleaning Calibrator Plates).
- Relieve the line operator for his/her breaks and lunch.
- Complete skid packaging such as wrapping and banding.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
