Cyclops named family-owned small business of the year

Cyclops Industries of South Charleston has been named Family-Owned Small Business of the Year in West Virginia by the District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

Founded more than 60 years ago, the company manufactures safety sight glasses for industrial uses. Its products are sold nationwide and exported to markets in more than 40 counties – from Chile to Vietnam, said Kim Mack, president and third-generation owner.

RCBI Director & CEO Charlotte Weber praised Mack and her company, which has relied on RCBI services for more than two decades, for their commitment to innovation and quality.

“Cyclops Industries is a true West Virginia success. Under Kim Mack’s leadership, her company and workers have continued to improve through a commitment to workforce training and quality processes as well as adoption of new technology, which is the winning formula that makes Cyclops a global leader in its industry,” Weber said. “The SBA recognition is well-deserved.”
