Robotics

In partnership with Fanuc Robotics America Inc., RCBI delivers certified robotics training that meets industry’s growing need. The FANUC Robotics Certified Education Robot Training (CERT) Program is an initiative that develops a skilled work force to program and operate the industrial robots used by manufacturers.

Students in the Robotics Technology Program at RCBI will study the following courses: Introduction to Robotics; Robot Safety; Robot Components; End Effectors; Applications for Robots; Robot Sensors; Concepts of Robot Operations & Programming; Robotic Drives; Hardware and Components, and Robot Installations.

The program consists of interactive online lessons, lectures, demonstrations and lab exercises with hands-on experience using industrial robots and simulation software. Pre- and post-assessments are used to measure the student's mastery of course objectives. Recommended safety procedures are integrated into all training exercises.

An option in the RCBI program allows individuals to earn a career-enhancing associate degree from a local community college in addition to the RCBI certificate and nationally recognized credentials.

Eligibility

The program is available to high school seniors and high school graduates, dislocated workers, welfare-to-work participants, employed individuals, participants in state or privately funded education or training programs, and employers who are expanding the technical capabilities of their current workforce.

Requirements

RCBI programs are not open enrollment programs, and have admission and candidacy requirements in addition to community college admission guidelines. Each applicant must submit high school transcripts or G.E.D. records. We also assess each applicant’s math skills and require an interview with our staff members.
