Career skills programs
The technical skills that students learn at the Robert C. Byrd Institute for Advanced Flexible Manufacturing (RCBI) make it possible for them to begin work immediately, earning good wages with benefits, knowing that their career is building.
The nationally recognized Machinist Technology/CNC Program is offered in Huntington and Bridgeport. The Welding Technology Program is available in Huntington, while the Robotics Technology Program is offered in Charleston. The classes are taught by highly qualified instructors with years of experience in their fields. The programs offer students the option of earning an associate’s degree from a local community college.
Because RCBI has set up its courses and curriculum from the perspective of industry and employer-needs, students are prepared immediately upon completion to take on the rigorous demands and perform work that will start their career. The programs at RCBI boast a placement rate of more than 90 percent for its graduates.
