Education & Training
Looking for a career? RCBI can help.
In addition to delivering customized instruction for industry’s current workers, RCBI is creating a pool of technically skilled individuals who can go to work immediately in manufacturing plants. The technical skills students learn at RCBI make it possible for them to enter a shop floor setting and begin work immediately, earning good wages with benefits, knowing that their career is building.
In 1998, RCBI established its Machinist Technology/CNC Program, recognized and certified by the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS). The program offers a technical certificate and credentials along with the option of earning an Associate in Applied Science in Technical Studies degree or credits that apply toward another undergraduate degree.
RCBI also delivers a Welding Technology Program that is certified to American Welding Society (AWS) standards, and a Robotics Technology Program that includes FANUC Industrial Certification. These focused efforts deliver the kind of hands-on training necessary to prepare individuals for well-paid, and available, jobs in industry. An option in each RCBI program allows individuals to earn a degree from a local community college in addition to the RCBI certificate and individual nationally recognized credentials.
Each particular program is offered online and in the classroom. Additional hands-on, practical experience may be necessary to complete requirements and will be conducted at employer locations or statewide at RCBI Advanced Manufacturing Technology Centers.
Customized, Company-specific Training
In addition to our programs that focus on individuals, RCBI regularly develops customized training of varying lengths to meet manufacturers’ specific needs. RCBI will tailor a schedule of training to satisfy a particular manufacturer’s work force needs and deliver it to meet the manufacturer’s timetable. Company-focused training can be conducted at any of our Advanced Manufacturing Technology Centers or at the company site
