RCBI Adds Second 3D Printing Camp in Huntington

May 4, 2015

HUNTINGTON –  Because of overwhelming demand, the Robert C. Byrd Institute for Advanced Flexible Manufacturing (RCBI) has added a second week-long 3D Printing Camp in Huntington. It will run July 6 – 10.

Each camp – open to middle school and high school students – consists of five consecutive sessions at RCBI’s Advanced Manufacturing Technology Centers in Huntington and Bridgeport. The Bridgeport camp, which has few seats remaining, is July 13-17. Each camp runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily. The cost is $100, which includes lunch each day.

Presented in partnership with Marshall University, the 3D Printing Camps at RCBI introduce young people to the opportunities in advanced manufacturing through hands-on experience. Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs (NBT)™, an education foundation established by the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association International (FMA), is providing support funding for the camps at RCBI.
