RCBI, LIGHTS team to offer business, entrepreneur workshops

Jan. 29, 2018

One of the challenges business owners and entrepreneurs face is understanding customer needs and developing products and services to meet those needs.

The Robert C. Byrd Institute (RCBI) is partnering with Ohio University’s LIGHTS Regional Innovation Network to offer two free workshops on tools to help businesses identify the value in their work and develop strategies for delivering their products or services to customers.

The Value Proposition Workshop will take place February 7 from noon to 3 p.m. Instructors from the LIGHTS Network will provide a hands-on introduction of the Strategyzer Value Proposition Canvas. Participants will learn how to use the canvas and work toward finding value for customers immediately. Participants may register for this workshop at www.rcbi.org/go/value

The following week, on February 14 from noon to 3 p.m., the Strategyzer Business Model Canvas will be explored. Participants will take the value proposition they established the week before and develop a strategy to deliver their products or services. The workshop will help participants determine key resources, partners and activity channels and how much those resources may cost. Participants may register for this workshop at www.rcbi.org/go/canvas

Both workshops take place at RCBI Huntington, located at 1050 Fourth Avenue.
