RCBI now enrolling for fall classes across W.Va.

June 26, 2018

After May graduations to recognize nearly 50 individuals who completed machining and welding programs, RCBI is enrolling new students for fall classes.

"The skills these students learn at RCBI are in great demand by industry today," said Charlotte Weber, Director & CEO of RCBI. "We're pleased that RCBI is helping close the skills gap in manufacturing through our career skills programs."

For the 2017-2018 school year, the Machinist Technology/CNC Program was delivered to classes at RCBI Huntington and RCBI Bridgeport but will expand machinist training this fall through new partnerships. The degree-option program for machinist technology at RCBI Bridgeport begins a new partnership with Pierpont Community & Technical College in Fairmont.

Offered in partnership with Mountwest Community & Technical College, an option in both machining and welding programs gives students at RCBI Huntington the opportunity to earn an associate degree in addition to individual national credentials. The Machinist Technology Program is newly available this fall at sites in Williamson and Welch through a partnership with Southern West Virginia Community & Technical College, which will award the degree-option of the RCBI program at those locations.
