RCBI honors machining, welding students

HUNTINGTON — High-skilled jobs in industry await graduates of the Machinist Technology/CNC Program and the Welding Technology Program at the Robert C. Byrd Institute (RCBI).
RCBI will recognize more than 40 students at graduation Thursday at RCBI Huntington, 1050 Fourth Ave. The event begins at 4 p.m.
“The skills these students learned at RCBI are in great demand in industry today,” said Charlotte Weber, director & CEO of RCBI. “We’re pleased that RCBI is helping tackle the skills gap in manufacturing through our career skills programs.”
The machining and welding programs at RCBI offer rigorous, hands-on instruction that prepares individuals for immediate employment and lifelong professional advancement. Students also earn industry-recognized certifications that ensure that RCBI graduates meet nationally recognized standards of excellence.
Offered in partnership with Mountwest Community & Technical College, the programs also give students the opportunity to earn an associate degree.
