March 12, 2018
A new partnership between the Robert C. Byrd Institute (RCBI) and Professional Services of America will expand government contracting opportunities for West Virginia manufacturers.
RCBI and Professional Services will utilize their unique expertise and resources to empower businesses by connecting them with bid opportunities, assisting with the application process and helping them obtain the requisite certifications and security clearances necessary for high-level government contracting opportunities.
“For more than 25 years, RCBI has served West Virginia manufacturers not only by providing technical assistance and expertise, but by helping them become prime contractors and links in the federal supply chain,” said Charlotte Weber, RCBI Director & CEO. “By partnering with Professional Services of America, we can expand these outreach efforts to enable more state companies to take advantage of untapped opportunities in government contracting.”
With locations in Huntington, South Charleston and Bridgeport, RCBI has assisted more than 6,200 manufacturers, connecting them to business opportunities with private industry and government, including in such sectors as aerospace, automotive, defense and energy.
Headquartered in Parkersburg, Professional Services of America has grown from two employees to more than 300 since the company’s inception in 1989. It has assisted corporate clients across the country and worked closely with 28 federal agencies, including the departments of Energy, Treasury and Defense. Under the leadership of President & CEO Judy Sheppard, the company has grown into a multi-million-dollar operation.
“With 28-plus years of service to West Virginia and the entire US, PSA is honored to be chosen as a teaming partner with RCBI, Sheppard said. “We are excited to be supporting RCBI and their amazing services.”
