RCBI Schedules Information Sessions on Machining Skills Training Programs
The Robert C. Byrd Institute for Advanced Flexible Manufacturing (RCBI) has scheduled information sessions to showcase both its nationally certified Machinist Technology Program and CNC Specialist Program to prospective students at its Advanced Manufacturing Technology Centers in Huntington, Bridgeport and Rocket Center.
The technical skills programs at RCBI are a direct response to manufacturers who face a national shortage of skilled machinists. Even in today’s economic climate as many as 600,000 skilled manufacturing positions go unfilled each year, according to a recent survey from Deloitte Consulting LLP and the Manufacturing Institute.
The information session at the RCBI Bridgeport facility is scheduled Friday, March 16 at 10:00 a.m. Conveniently adjacent to the North Central West Virginia Airport, RCBI Bridgeport is located in the Benedum Industrial Park at 2400 E. Benedum Industrial Drive.
The information session at the RCBI Rocket Center facility is scheduled Friday, March 23 at 10:00 a.m. Scenically located in West Virginia’s Eastern Panhandle, the RCBI Rocket Center Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center is in the Robert C. Byrd Hilltop Office Complex at 410 State Route 956.
The information session and open house at the RCBI Huntington facility is scheduled Friday, March 30 at 10:00 a.m. The RCBI Huntington Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center is conveniently located in the city’s downtown business district at the corner of Fourth Avenue and 11th Street.
RCBI staff members and instructors will be available to discuss admission requirements, enrollment, payment options and answer questions about both training programs. Because class sizes are kept small to ensure each student has as much individual interaction as possible with the instructors in the hands-on programs, early enrollment is encouraged.
