Maker Camp: Charleston (Mon. 9 Jul, 2018 8:13 am - 2:30 pm)

Campers will experience in 3D design, 3D printing, assembly, and other maker activities. The camps are supported by grants from Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs, the foundation of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association. Business Expo (Tue. 10 Jul, 2018 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm)

The Robert C. Byrd Institute (RCBI) in partnership with the Charleston Area Alliance and the Central Appalachia Empowerment Zone of West Virginia (CAEZ) invites you to attend a free Resources for Businesses Expo July 10 from noon to 2 p.m. at CAEZ offices (former Valley Fork Elementary School) in Wallback. The luncheon will provide the opportunity for businesses to network with other businesses that might be potential customers or suppliers of goods and services. Raspberry Pi Meet-Up (Tue. 10 Jul, 2018 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm)

The Robert C. Byrd Institute (RCBI) is hosting its monthly Raspberry Pi User Group meeting in its Maker Vault. Whether you’re already an expert or just curious about programming and use of the ultra-affordable devices, join us at RCBI Huntington (1050 Fourth Avenue) to explore different versions of the Pi hardware and software, and focus on popular uses of the small computers. The group will assist you in getting your own Raspberry Pi up and running as well as working on collective projects. Participants should bring a Raspberry Pi and we’ll provide the expertise.
