The free forum, “Expanding Apprenticeship through Apprenticeship Works,” is scheduled at Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio. RCBI and America Makes will launch the nation’s first apprenticeship for additive manufacturing technicians at the forum. Featured speaker Eric Seleznow, senior advisor to Jobs for the Future, will discuss how apprenticeship programs work for employers across industries. RCBI Workforce Director Lucinda Curry will outline resources available to help manufacturers establish their own customized apprenticeship program. Manufacturing representatives from companies such as Mohawk Flooring, Weyerhaeuser, Butech Bliss, Reddog Industries and Martin Engineering also will share their insights about apprenticeship.
